Asset Inspection

Asset Inspection

Drone technology is ideal for all types of asset inspection.  Drones significantly remove the risk of injuries resulting from working at heights.  They remove the need for expensive scaffolding solutions, Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) and other high risk access solutions.  Thus they provide a faster and more cost effective solution for asset inspection.

They can be used to examine inaccessible areas and can provide video footage and still photography for examination in a safe environment back at the office and can be used to direct future resources to specific areas of concern.  They can also provide solutions to inspect protected structures where access is traditionally difficult.  Structures such as complex church roofs and spires can easily be viewed to determine condition.

The High Definition Video (4K UHD) can provide valuable information for asset managers which can be used to manage evolving issues.  They provide the ability to carry out repeat inspections with the same level of detail in short periods of time.

Internal building inspections can also be carried out, using video and photography, where necessary.

At AFDS we use drone technology to produce detailed inspection reports with video and photography.
